You may be eligible to transfer your Prop 13 value to another property in CA.
- Homeowners' Exemptions
If you owned and occupied your principal place of residence on January 1, you may qualify for a Homeowners' Exemption that would exempt $7,000 of your property's value from taxation.
- Institutional Exemptions
Property used exclusively by a church, college, cemetery, museum, school or library may qualify for an exemption from property taxation. Property owned and used exclusively by a nonprofit religious, charitable, scientific or hospital corporation may also be eligible.
