Informal Assessment Review

An informal review is not a formal assessment appeal.

Requesting your property value be reviewed by the Assessor.

  • The filing period for Informal Assessment Reviews is January 1 to April 30, each year.
  • The Assessor will consider the market value of property as of January 1 (lien date) for the upcoming assessment roll.
  • Prior assessment years cannot be reviewed.
  • There is no charge to file a request to have your property value reviewed by the Assessor.

Choose the form for your property type.

  • Single-Family, Condo, Townhouse 
  • Multi-Family (Apartment, Triplex, Duplex) 
  • Commercial/Industrial (Retail, Office, Other)
  • Hospitality (Hotel/Motel) 

Be sure to provide accurate and complete information.

The Assessor will send you a Value Notice in July showing the Taxable Value determined by the Assessor's review. The Taxable Value will be used to calculate your Annual Property Tax Bill. If you disagree with the valuation of your property you may file a formal assessment appeal with the Clerk of the Board between July 2 and November 30.
